Next in Harry Potter franchise will be Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Some quick flashback its history of choosing directors for the films. Every movie apart from first 2 directed by a different director. Launched with much hype and appreciated from some of the critics Chris Columbus did directing job for first two. Then a welcome change, third [Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban] directed by ever talented Alfonso Cuarón which was stylistic shift from earlier two films noted for creating sinister mood and an atmospheric film. Fourth one was a racy book and fairly good film by Mike Newell followed by not a very good book but an entertaining film by David Yates who was chosen for his “political backstory” and “handling of emotional and edgy” film. Now coming HP6 which is one of the most interesting reads in HP series. It unveils most of the history of its great villain Voldemort.
I had this debate about Harry Potter series being children fantasy genre and all. Forgive my childlike credulity but I liked the franchise and movies in the series. Sometimes popular doesn’t always have to be bad. Even Steven Spielberg is preached for making popular movies so let’s not go that road. I’ll looking forward to HP6.

Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was.
